I pull into the parking lot before dawn as usual.
I’m too far over on the passenger side in the space. So I can’t get my bag out when the huge pickup truck pulls into the spot next to me.
Yes, it’s the start of another week. This return to office nightmare feels like it’ll never end.
It’s Monday again (FML) 🤦
Maybe you can relate to this…
Wake up at 4 am.
Take too long to get out of bed… 4:10 am.
Take too long going to the bathroom… 4:20 am.
Weigh yourself before hopping in the shower… shocker—I’m still fat.
Allow the water to wash over you while longing to go back to bed for another 90 minutes—like you did when telework wasn’t looked at as illegal
Rush around to get dressed, do hair, brush your teeth — shit it’s almost 4:50 (move your ass!)
Then, there’s the traffic…
Battle traffic—jackass behind me on a one-lane road for miles has bright LED headlights that shine in every mirror on my car!
Great—here’s the sunlight every trendy fitness bro tells me I need in the morning, check ✅
Finally get to the day job paying all the bills—and in my parking conundrum.
Ahh, Mondays 😑
Screw it. Grab the damn pack—my work survival kit—and battle the line to badge in and go through security.
Not risking being later because I want to get out as early as possible.
And damn—it’s only Monday.
Is it lunch time yet?
Can you relate? 🤝
Maybe your mode of transportation is different—but if you commute—you get this.
